The Supreme Court of India on 14 August 2013 rejected the review
petition of 1993 Delhi blast accused, Devender Pal Singh Bhullar.
Bhullar, a Khalistani terrorist and death row convict was sentenced to
death by a trial court on August 25, 2001, for plotting terror attacks
on Punjab SSP Sumedh Singh Saini in 1991 and the then Youth Congress
head M S Bitta in 1993 that left nine people dead.
A bench headed by Justice G S Singhvi refused to review its 12 April
2013 verdict by which it had rejected his plea for commuting the death
sentence to life imprisonment.
President Pranab Mukherjee had earlier rejected Bhullar's mercy plea.
