Kush Kumar Won Gold in Men’s Singles Squash at Asian Youth Games

Kush Kumar of India won gold in Men’s Singles Squash at the second Asian Youth Games in Nanjing, China on 19 August 2013. 

This is the India’s first gold in and overall fourth medal at the second Asian Youth Games.

In the Men's Singles finals, Kush defeated Malaysia's Mohammad Syafiq Mohd by 11-9, 5-11, 11-9, and 11-7 to win the Gold.



In Asian Youth Games Indian athletes were participating as Independent Olympic Athletes, as India has been suspended from the Olympic Movement by the International Olympic Committee on 4 December 2012, owing to Government interference.
