Bastian Schweinsteiger, the German midfielder defeated his teammates
Thomas Mueller and Franck Ribery to grab the Journalists' Player of the
Year Award announced by the Kicker magazine on 28 July 2013. Bastian
Schweinsteiger won 92 out of 527 votes. Franck Ribery won 87 votes,
while Thomas Mueller won 85 votes.
