Susan Elizabeth Rice, the American ambassador to the United Nations was
appointed as the National Security Adviser of US President Barack Obama
on 5 June 2013. She replaced Tom Donilon. The announcement of her
appointment was made by Obama in a ceremony at Rose Garden.
