As per the Survey conducted by Cisco in the first week of June 2013,
nine out of ten people suffer from nomophobia. The survey also found
that these people were addicted to their smartphones and became anxious
when it went missing. For many under the age of 30, the smartphone is an
extension of themselves, from the moment they wake up until they fall
asleep. These people check for texts, emails and social media at least
once every 10 minutes.
Nomophobia is the fear of being out of mobile phone contact. The term is an abbreviation for no-mobile-phone phobia.
