RN Sawani, the former police officer appointed to probe
spot-fixing case in IPL on 5 June 2013 submitted his report to BCCI,
without getting access to the accused cricketers namely S Sreesanth,
Ajit Chadila and Ankeet Chavan.
Earlier BCCI, appointed RN Sawani, a former IPS officer to probe into the spot-fixing issue. RN Sawani is the same officer, who probed into the 2000 match-fixing case. Sawani was given the task of examining in detail the charges levelled by Delhi Police against the three cricketers and the three IPL matches figured out by the police.
The one-man probe team led by RN Sawani was not able to question the three players as Sreesanth and Ajay Chandila were on judicial custody and the Ankeet Chavan was out on bail for his marriage.
